We want you to "test drive" the various software options available for a trial period. After this trial period, you may purchase the option or options from your Aeroflex Sales Representative.

The software options that you may try include:

P25 Options

• SmartNet™/SmartZone™ Options (2975OPT3), (2975OPT8) –
  provides ways to test Motorola trunked radio systems
• P25 Trunking Radio Test Option (2975OPT4) -
  for testing P25 trunked radio systems in the 800 MHz band
• P25 Control Channel Logger Option (2975OPT6) -
  for logging control messages for OSP, ISP and LCOs
• Auto-Test Option (2975OPT9) -
  for automated testing of analog and conventional P25 radios
• P25 Trunking VHF/UHF/700MHz Option (2975OPT14) -
  for testing P25 systems in various frequency bands of operation
• RX BER Option (2975OPT17) -
  allows for an external input signal to be applied to the front test port of the 2975 for analyzing the BER of a radio
• P25 Secondary Control Channel Broadcast Message Option (2975OPT21) -
  allows the user to set up simulated control channels to verify how P25 radios switch over to secondary control channels
• P25 Explicit Mode Operation Option (2975OPT22) -
  Allows the 2975 to use explicit messaging for VHF/UHF band operation.
• P25 Explicit Unit to Unit and PSTN Emulation Option (2975OPT23) -
  allows users to verify that a radio can generate and receive Unit to Unit and PSTN calls (requires 2975OPT22)
• P25 Explicit Adjacent Status Broadcast Channel Message (2975OPT24) -
  option allows the user to set up simulated control channels to verify how P25 radios switch over to secondary control channels (requires 2975OPT22)
• CQPSK Generate / Receive and Analysis Option (2975OPT29) -
  adds powerful measurement capabilities for P25 waveforms, including error vector magnitude (EVM) and I-Q constellation display
• Windows FM and P25 Radio Test Software Option (2975OPT31); required to enable Windows Autotest Software. See the video demo now.

Analog Test Options

• Audio Analyzer Option (2975OPT15) -
  allows analysis of base band audio signals to 40 kHz from Demod or external inputs in the frequency domain
• Analog Simulcast Align Option (2975OPT16) -
  allows the user to capture a specific frequency range and then set up a template for alignment with user defined upper and lower limits
• LTR™ Trunking Option (2975OPT18) -
  emulates a repeater and mobile for LTR™ radio and repeater testing
  

These options are only made available to existing 2975 customers.
You may only apply for an option once for trial the period.
Any unauthorized distribution or reproduction of this software is prohibited.

Before requesting the Try Before You Buy options, you must know the following information --
a) the version of software within your 2975
b) the serial number of your 2975

The software version is found on the 2975 Configuration Version Screen (press MODE, 7, 3 keys). The version is the "CVS Tag" field number (example: 1.5.2 = 1.5.x, 1.7.0 = 1.7.x; the last digit is the minor revision indicator).

If you have an older version of software in your 2975, it will not support Try Before You Buy options. Please upgrade now.

You will be sent to a form and asked to input your name, your company, your email address, and the serial number(s) of the 2975(s) you own. When you are done, please click on the SUBMIT button.

Our customer service staff will enable the options you have selected and reply to you via email for your trial options.
